EAP Conferences and Symposia: 1990 to Date

As part of its goal of furthering discourse on art criticism, art history and artistic dialogue, Eastern Art Report has pursued a programme of conferences, seminars, study days and symposia since 1990.

Highlights of the Programme:

  • Japanese Art in the 1990s I, study day held at at the Foreign Press Club, 11 Carlton House Terrace, 1990.
  • Museums in the Islamic World, international conference held at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, 1991.
  • Japanese Art in the 1990s II, seminar held at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, 1991, in conjunction with the Japan Festival.
  • Chinese Art in the 1990s, the first international conference dealing with contemporary Chinese art held in Britain, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, 1991, 1992.
  • Myths and Mothballs: African Art in the 1990s, international conference held in conjunction with the africa95 festival, Courtauld Institute, 1995.
