Focus on Chinese Art (and Archaeology)There are several ways of accessing EAR Online Contents. In the first instance -- Eastern Art Report covers both the traditional and contemporary aspects of Chinese art and Eastern Art Report Online also features news items of interest on Chinese archaeology. 'Chinese art' is a term often loosely applied to the art of Chinese artists, or artists of Chinese descent based in Southeast Asia or the West, including those integrated into these societies. Depending on the creative content and each individual artist, this may or may not be justified. An added problem is that some Chinese artists who live abroad may not wish to assert their Chinese identity, choosing instead to become 'citizens of the world.'
