The 2headedpigeon Theatre Company presents Harlow's Monkeys, "an anarchic monkey morality tale," as part of the Brighton Fringe festival in May 20012.
An ageing Cambridge professor knows everything about primates. But when a mysterious girl arrives in his office, his work is disrupted by a farcical journey into the chaos of the past. Can he untangle the riddles to find out what she actually wants? More importantly, can he keep the electric stapler out of the hands of the dangerous colony of apes who've taken up residence in the next office? Harlow's Monkeys is a dramatic two-hander about parenthood, science and responsibility...which is occasionally interrupted by a gang of angry chimps.
This fast-paced drama, which leaves the audience questioning who really are the animals onstage, is being performed at 7pm 10-12 May 2012 at Upstairs @ Three and Ten as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival.
The 2headedpigeon Theatre Company was founded in 2003. The Brighton-based company says it aims to create transgressive fringe theatre which is vibrant, original and irreverent. The company's award winning punk anti-musical, The Inconsiderate Aberrations of Billy the Kid, won a Threeweeks Editor's Choice Award.
